India Development Gateway (InDG) is a nation wide initiative that seeks to address the livelihood concerns of the rural communities through provision of responsive and credible information, products and services in local languages. Developed as part of this initiative, is the multilingual web-portal - www.indg.in. The web-portal is presently available in nine languages, covering information related to six key livelihood sectors (Agriculture, Health, Social Welfare, Primary Education, Rural Energy and e-Governance) related to Rural Development. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Communications and IT, GOI and implemented by the Hyderabad centre of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
The India Development Gateway (www.indg.in), CDAC, Hyderabad invites all Government high schools of Andhra Pradesh to participate in a Painting Competition at School & State Level. The competition aims to motivate children towards create awareness about Natural resources and save our natural resources from deforestation, pollution etc. and offer them a chance to explore their creativity.
The competition is organized collaboration with School Education Department, Andhra Pradesh facilitated by the Resource Center for Traditional Painting (RCTP), NIMSME and REMEDIA Trust.

Specifications
All the participants should follow the following criteria without any deviation:
- Size: 11" X 16" inches ( A3 size drawing paper )
- Medium: Crayons / water colours / poster colours / colour pencils / sketch pens
School Level Painting Competition
School head masters or head mistress / Head of the institution to organize painting competition of 2 to 3 hours duration for 8th to 10th Standard students on any day upto 5th November, 2011.
School head masters or head mistress / Head of the institution will select 3 best paintings from each participating school and send them along with the information on number of students participated at School Level Competition to the concerned office. The address is given below so as to reach by 9th November, 2011 positively.
Important Dates:- Last date to reach the paintings - 9th November 2011 by 5pm either by post or in person
- Selection of best three paintings from each district and display the top three painting details in the www.indg.in web portal - 12th November ,2011
- Selection of best three paintings at state level and display the winners details in the www.indg.in web portal - 13th November ,2011

- DOB (as per school records)
- Father's / Mother's Name
- Class & Roll No.
- School Name & Address
- School Stamp
- School Tel. No. (if any)

Selection Process:
- All entries must be on the mentioned theme only
- Select only best three paintings from each participating school irrespective of the classes and age group and sent it to concerned office as mentioned, before the due date. These best paintings may be selected at school level by the School head masters or head mistress / Head of the institution or concerned authority
- Only best three paintings will be selected for final consideration from each district ( A total of 69 paintings) and will be awarded with certificate & Award
- Only best three entries will be considered for state level competition out of 69 paintings which are from all the districts in the state and will be awarded with certificate & Award

Awards:
Awards will be given to best three paintings in each district of Andhra Pradesh (23 Districts) and best three paintings at State Level also. The awards may be in the form of cash, Gift Cheque or any useful gift articles with equivalent worth. |

Terms & Conditions- The organization reserves the right to cancel the competition without any prior intimation
- The decision of the Jury / Expert committee at all levels of the painting competition will be final.
- The paintings received are the property of InDG project, CDAC, Hyderabad
- The paintings will not be returned back
- The prize awarded paintings are displayed in InDG portal.
